Installing a Cold Air Intake

Using a 10mm socket, remove the two bolts circled in red in bottom half of picture.

Loosen the clamp that holds the stock intake to the throttle body.

Remove the stock breather hose and air temperature sensor.

Pull the air box out and off of the rubber grommet circled in red at top of picture. You may need to spray it with WD40.

Pull the stock intake off of the throttle body.

Place the front of the car on jack stands and remove the left front wheel.

Remove the clips that hold the top of the bumper on.

Remove the Philips screws that hold the edges of the bumper on.

Remove the two 10mm bolts and two Philips screws under the car that hold the bumper on.

Carefully remove the front bumper and set it aside.

Locate the bolts that hold the white resonator box onto your car and remove this box.

Remove the clips that hold the inner fender to the front frame of the car and pull the inner fender back.

We installed a bypass valve and needed to cut a piece of the AEM out.

Place the end of the AEM on the throttle body, without tightening the clamp.

Insert the air temperature sensor and put the breather hose on.

Place one end of the bypass on this part of the AEM.

Place the other half of the AEM through the hole the stock air box went through and insert it into the bypass valve.

Screw the supplied rubber bushing/bolt into the hole in the frame that lines up with the bracket on the AEM.

Centre the AEM in the hole and tighten the nut that holds the bracket.

Tighten the clamps on the bypass and throttle body.

Make sure the AEM is still centered in the hole.

Place the filter on the end of the AEM and tighten the clamp.

Re-install the inner fender and bumper.
